"The Plungerettes"

Back by popular demand is the world renowned (well at least in the world of Pine Canyon) "Plungeretts". This year is my first year dancing with the team. It is just a spoof on drill teams that our ward does as part of the March Madness party. The young men play the old men in friendly game of basketball and the young and old women do a dance as the half time entertainment. Its supposed to be just for fun but we took it very seriously. We had practice and rehearsals and the whole bit. This year we danced to the song "these boots are made for walking" our teacher was Tennille Lawrence. She did a great job with the choreography, we kind of added our own little touches to the dance. The "sprinkler" and "ride the pony" moves were real crowd pleasers. And yes that is my mom doing a kick line. We are now taking reservations for our next performance, or maybe we will take a hiatus until next March.

"Dwanthsville Batheball" (aka Grantsville Baseball)

Easton thinks his dad is the coolest. He has told too many people to count that his dad flies hairplanes and helicopters. I try to tell him that the only thing that his dad flies is a pencil. But Easton still thinks he is awesome. More fuel to the fire is the fact that Jason helps coach the Grantsville baseball team. Easton is obsessed with "Dwanthsville Batheball" (he has a slight speech impediment). He has no problem sharing his dad with the players, Easton loves the attention he gets when he goes to practice with Jason. While in St George this past weekend I was amazed at how many of the players knew Easton and loved having him hanging around. It's a good thing that the players are good examples to my little boy because he watches their every move and tries to be just like them. Jason even brought home two hats so that the boys could look just like the big kids. When I asked Easton today what he wants to do when he grows up he said "play batheballlllll", so my next question was a given but I asked it anyway, who would he play for. Naturally the answer was "Dwanthsville Batheball". I think he may even chant that in his sleep. I can't count the number of times he says it while awake. While it goes against everything I was raised to believe (THS class of 2001) I can't help but rooting for "Dwanthsville Batheball" too.

Happy Birthday Bryn Leigh

So Bryn Leigh turned one on Feb 18 but shortly after her birthday she got very sick with a combination of her asthma and RSV. She was hospitalized with it for 6 day's but finally got better. So after our little stay in Primary Children's Hospital we celebrated with the Warner side of the family. She had two other birthday parties before her stint in the hospital but didn't feel too up to diving into her cake. So here are the fun 1st birthday cake pictures. (side note. that brown spot on her head isn't cake or frosting. That was the bruise that the dogs gave her for her birthday.)

Our House......In the Middle Of The Street....Well Someday

So as many of you know we are trying to build a new house. We bought the property next to my parents where there is currently a 110yr old house. We have been working with a bank (Liberty Bank) for the past 5 1/2 months. Needless to say we still don't have the house started yet. This has been an absolute nightmare. We have the plans and the contractors lined up but the construction loan is still not secure. We own the property and the old house on it but we can't live in the house because of the condition it is in. We are very lucky that we are able to live with my sister Toni and her family but are dying to get our home started. If anyone you know is looking for a loan of any kind tell them NOT to go to LIBERTY BANK! But unfortunately it's too late for us but maybe we can save someone else from going through what we are suffering. Anyway...someday we will have a nice new house and we will be able to look back at all this and laugh. Hopefully the house will look something like this.

Oh The Sunshine!

Oh how we love the sunshine! We have been couped up all winter and longing for the day when we can bask is the sun's warm glow. Now we must live it up if only for a few days, winter is going to rear it's ugly head again. We enjoy walking up the street without having to wear snowboots, not having to bundle up just to go get the mail. Most of all I love that for a few hours I can let my kids out of the house and cure their cabin fever. But it can't last too long. The cold is on it's way back for a short time. But we will wait it out because we know that spring is finally here with all it's warmth and sunshine.

Everybody's gotta have a dream.

When you ask a four year old what they want to be when they "get big" some typical answers could be a.... cowboy or football player maybe a superhero or even an airplane pilot. However my dear Trent has other great expectations for himself. I realized this while in St. George watching baseball. Easton is totally enthralled with all things baseball and mimics everything Jason's players do. Trent keeps a close eye on another aspect of the game. The field crew. He watched their every move, how they raked the infield, the way they chalked the lines and of course how they drove the gator. Just like any other little boy who watches their idol play a game or fly a plan Trent watched so intently. He got a small taste of his dream when one of the field crew gave him a rake and let him groom around first base. While we had a great trip and enjoyed the baseball games very much I think the highlight of the trip for Trenton was helping the field crew before the game even started.

My Cute Kids

I may be partial but I think I have the cutest kids on the Planet. The little funny things that they do keep my life interesting. Trenton and all his "Great Ideas" that usually end up in a mess and his genuine compassion for everybody. Easton and his ability to make people laugh while still needing to "snuggle" with mom. Last but not least is precious little Bryn Leigh, she is such sweet little girl from first thing in the morning till last thing at night she brings so much happiness to my life. I am so lucky to be able to spend my time raising my kids. I wouldn't have it any other way.
